Waited 25 minutes and never had our order taken, not even a drink order even though we sat down right away. Waitress acknowledged us after 20 mins that she’d be with us in a few minutes. Finally just left without ordering. Only two waitstaff working and they are filling a ton of online orders. This was a Sunday at lunchtime. Maybe it’s better other times but I remember it being poor quality last time too. Only came here because Saigon is closed on Sundays.

Grilled chicken is excellent. Iced water is great. Pho is also tasty.

I had a great experience at Pho Hut. The pork fried rice was delicious — the pork was very juicy and flavorful, and the rice was soft, fragrant, and perfectly seasoned. The pho special had a rich, flavorful broth and the beef was fresh, tender, and naturally sweet. We also tried the banh mi, which tasted very authentic, just like in Vietnam. The Vietnamese coffee was strong, rich, and full of flavor. We also tried the taro boba drink, which was creamy and aromatic. My parents loved it. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Even though the restaurant was very busy, they quickly helped us find a table and were very attentive. One staff member even politely pulled out the chair for me, which was a very thoughtful touch. Overall, great food and great service. We will definitely come back again.

My family and I recently visited Pho Hut at 5404 California Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93309 and had a really great experience. The filet mignon pho was delicious with rich, flavorful broth and very tender beef. We also ordered the seafood fried rice, which was well-seasoned and very tasty. The crispy egg rolls were perfectly crunchy and full of flavor. We also tried the fried chicken, and my kid absolutely loved it—it was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and quickly became their favorite dish. Their boba drinks were refreshing and very reasonably priced as well. What really stood out was the service. My child accidentally dropped some food on the floor, and the staff were incredibly kind and patient while helping clean it up. They made us feel comfortable instead of embarrassed, which we really appreciated. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and my husband especially enjoyed both the food and the service. Overall, great food, great service, and affordable prices. We will definitely be coming back again.

Pho Hut has been part of my food journey since 2015, and by 2018–2020 it had become one of my regular go-tos. Even while I was fully plant-based, they had plenty of options that kept me coming back. Their soups have always stood out: steaming hot, generously portioned, and flavorful enough to enjoy half now and save half for later. Every friend and family member I’ve brought here over the years has returned on their own, which says everything about its consistency. Life and moves have caused breaks in my visits, but every time I wander back in — or order online — I’m reminded why Pho Hut has held strong for me all these years. The flavor is still flavoring! 🍜✨
